And you were dead in the trespasses and sins In which you once walked, Following the course of this world, Following the prince of the power of the air, The spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience Among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, Carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, And were by nature children of wrath, Like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, Because of the great love with which he loved us, Even when we were dead in our trespasses, Made us alive together with Christ By grace you have been saved And raised us up with him And seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, So that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; It is the gift of God, Not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, Created in Christ Jesus for good works, Which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. You've created us for good works Lord help me obey!
M.E. (Demo) 03:10
Look out! (Repeat) Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, Look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God And glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh Though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, Of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; As to the law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; As to righteousness under the law, blameless. But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, In order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, Not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, But that which comes through faith in Christ, The righteousness from God that depends on faith That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, And may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, That by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
U.S. (Demo) 03:11
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus From the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, In order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled In us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, But those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, If in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, The Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also Give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
