WeWereDead
04:10
|
|||
Ephesians 2:1-10
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins
In which you once walked,
Following the course of the world,
Following the prince of the power of the air,
The spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience
Among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh,
Carrying out the desires of the body and the mind,
You were by nature children of wrath,
Like the rest of mankind.
But God, being rich in mercy,
Because of the great love with which He loved us,
Even when we were dead in our trespasses,
Made us alive together with Christ
By grace you have been saved
And raised us up with him
And seated us with him in the heavenly places
In Christ!
So that in the coming ages
He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace
In kindness toward us in Jesus Christ.
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing;
It is the gift of God,
Not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
For we are His workmanship,
Created in Christ Jesus for good works,
Which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Walk in them
You've created us for good works
Lord help me obey!

ByNoMeans!
04:04
|
|||
Romans 6:1-7
What shall we say then?
Are we to continue in sin?
That grace may abound?
By no means!
How can we who died to sin still live in it?
Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death,
In order that just as Christ was raised from death
By the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life
For if we have been united with Him in a death like His,
We shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His
We know that our old self was crucified with Him
In order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing
So that we would no longer be enslaved to sin
For one who has died has been set free from sin, from sin
Set free! From, from sin

NoCondemnation
03:12
|
|||
Romans 8:1-11
There is therefore now no condemnation
For those who are in Christ Jesus
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus
From the law of sin and death
For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do
By sending His only Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,
He condemned sin in the flesh,
In order that the righteous requirement
Of the law might be fulfilled
In us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,
But those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit
For to set the mind on the flesh is death,
But to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God,
For it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,
If fact the Spirit of God dwells in you
Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin,
The Spirit is life because of righteousness
If the Spirit of Him who raised God from the dead dwells in you,
He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also
Give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

LookOutForTheDogs
03:11
|
|||
Philippians 3:1-11
Look out! (Repeat)
Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers,
Look out for those who mutilate the flesh
For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God
And glory in Christ
Put no confidence in the flesh, put no confidence in the flesh
Though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh
If anyone else thinks he has reason
I have more: circumcised on the eighth day,
Of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews;
As to the law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church;
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss
For the sake of Christ.
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord
For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things
And count them as rubbish,
In order that I may gain Christ and be found in Him,
Not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law,
But that which comes through faith in Christ,
The righteousness from God that depends on faith
That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection,
And may share His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death,
That by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

03:25
|

1 John 1:5-2:6
This is the message we have heard from Him and proclaim to you,
That God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
If we say we have fellowship with Him while we walk in darkness,
We lie and do not practice the truth
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light,
We have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus
His Son cleanses us from all sin
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
And the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar,
And His Word is not in us
My little children, I am writing these things to you
So that you may not sin
But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous.
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not ours only
But also for the sins of the whole world
And by this we know that we have come to know Him,
If we keep His commandments
Whoever says “I know Him” but does not keep them
Is a liar, and the truth is not in him,
But whoever keeps His Word, in Him truly the love of God is perfected.
By this we may know that we are in Him:
Whoever says he abides in Him ought to
Walk in the same way in which He walked.
