I was going for a really big epic sound for this song. The original version was real simple didn't go anywhere. I revamped it into something I think is fun and rememorable.
lyrics
Wounded for Me
W.G. Ovens,
Steven Shaw
Wounded, wounded for me, there on the cross He was wounded for me, Gone my transgressions, now I’m free,
All because Jesus was wounded for me.
Dyin, dyin for me, there on the cross He was dying for me;
Now in His death my redemption I see,
All because Jesus was dying for me
(Chorus)
How deep the Fathers love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He would give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
Risen, risen for me, up from the grave He has risen for me;
Evermore from death’s sting I am free,
All because Jesus has risen for me.
(Chorus)
Comin, comin for me, one day to earth, He is coming for me;
Then with what joy His dear face I shall see,
Oh, how I praise Him! He is coming for me.
(Chorus)
